Copyright Policy

Juris Quantum: Journal of Emerging Technology and Law (JQJETL) is committed to protecting the intellectual property rights of authors while ensuring the widest possible dissemination of scholarly research.

Authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal agree to the following Copyright Policy.

1. Copyright Ownership

Unless otherwise specified, authors shall retain the copyright to their published work.

By submitting a manuscript to JQJETL, authors confirm that they are the original creators of the work and possess the legal authority to grant the Journal the necessary publishing rights.

Authors further warrant that the submitted work does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, patent, privacy, or other proprietary rights of any third party.

2. Publishing License

Upon acceptance for publication, authors grant Juris Quantum Research and Publications a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to:

  • publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article;
  • make the article available electronically through the Journal website and other indexing or abstracting services;
  • assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), metadata, and indexing information where applicable;
  • preserve the scholarly record through digital archiving services.

This publishing license does not transfer copyright ownership from the author to the Journal.

3. Author Rights

Authors retain the right to:

  • use their published work for teaching and research purposes;
  • include the work in theses, dissertations, books, or institutional repositories;
  • share the published article through personal websites and academic networking platforms, subject to proper citation of the Journal as the original place of publication;
  • reproduce portions of the work in future scholarly publications with appropriate acknowledgement.

4. Third-Party Material

Authors are solely responsible for obtaining written permission to reproduce any copyrighted material, including:

  • figures;
  • tables;
  • photographs;
  • illustrations;
  • maps;
  • datasets;
  • substantial extracts from previously published works.

Evidence of such permission shall be provided to the Editorial Office upon request.

5. Author Warranties

By submitting a manuscript, authors warrant that:

  • the manuscript is original;
  • it has not been published elsewhere;
  • it is not simultaneously under consideration by another publisher;
  • all co-authors have approved the submission;
  • all necessary permissions have been obtained;
  • the manuscript complies with applicable copyright laws.

Any breach of these warranties may result in rejection, withdrawal, or retraction of the publication.

6. Copyright Infringement

The Journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward copyright infringement.

Where infringement is established, the Editorial Board reserves the right to:

  • reject the manuscript;
  • remove published material from the Journal website;
  • issue corrections or retractions;
  • notify the author's institution or employer where appropriate;
  • pursue any additional legal remedies available under applicable law.

7. Permissions

Requests to reproduce, translate, adapt, or republish material published in JQJETL shall be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief.

Permission may be granted subject to appropriate acknowledgement of the original publication and compliance with applicable copyright laws.

8. Open Access

JQJETL is an Open Access journal.

Published articles are made freely accessible to readers without subscription charges.

Open access does not diminish or waive copyright protection. Users must comply with the applicable licensing terms and provide appropriate attribution when reusing published material.

9. Corrections and Retractions

Where copyright violations, authorship disputes, or legal claims arise after publication, the Journal reserves the right to:

  • suspend access to the article;
  • publish corrections;
  • issue expressions of concern;
  • retract the article where necessary.

The decision of the Editor-in-Chief shall be final.

10. Disclaimer

The opinions, interpretations, and conclusions expressed in published articles are solely those of the respective authors.

Juris Quantum Research and Publications, the Editorial Board, Editors, and Reviewers shall not be held responsible for any copyright infringement, legal liability, or damages arising from the content submitted by authors.

Authors bear full legal responsibility for the originality and legality of their submissions.
